Gantt chart for Jira Cloud Runs on Atlassian

Cross-project Gantt for Jira that never writes without you

Several projects on one Gantt, dependencies from your Jira links. Nothing is written until you review the diff.

Jira Cloud Standard and Premium. $1 per user per month, billed by Atlassian. Free on sites up to 10 users.

Cross-project on Jira Standard

Two to six projects on one chart, "blocks" links drawn as dependencies across projects. No Premium, no Plans, no extra app.

Nothing changes without you seeing it

Every drag is a draft. Apply opens a line-by-line diff with tick boxes. Undo any apply for 30 days. No delete scope, nothing written at install.

Cross-project

Two to six projects on one chart, on Jira Standard

Pick projects or a saved JQL filter. Rows follow the Jira parent field: Epic, Story, Sub-task, and any level above Epic your site has.

Your "blocks" links are drawn as arrows, across projects. No Premium plan, no Plans, no extra app.

  • Parents without dates roll up their children
  • Any link type can be the dependency type
  • Global chart from Apps, project chart from More

Drag and cascade

Move a bar, successors follow, on your working calendar

Drag, resize, or move with the keyboard. Every dependent issue is rescheduled in the draft so that the constraint still holds. A dashed ghost keeps the original position in view.

Working days, hours and holidays are set by an admin. Minimum duration is one hour, not one day. Rows you moved yourself stay where you put them.

  • Toolbar counts the unapplied changes
  • Draft saved every two seconds, restored after reload
  • Ctrl + Z inside the draft

Review and apply

One line per field, before and after, a tick box on each

Nothing is grouped or hidden. What you see is exactly what will be sent. Untick a line and it stays in the draft.

When the panel opens, the app re-reads every issue. A line whose issue changed in Jira since you loaded it is unticked and flagged. A value already equal in Jira is skipped, so the Updated date of untouched issues never moves.

  • Jira notifications off unless you tick them
  • Written under your own Jira permissions
  • Network drop mid-write: nothing written twice

Undo for 30 days

Every apply is journaled and can be undone

History lists each apply with the exact lines written. Undo restores the previous values through the same diff, with the same permission checks.

Before restoring a value, the app reads the issue again. If someone changed it in between, the line is shown as a conflict and "Undo anyway" is your call.

  • Journal kept 30 days, at most 200 entries per view
  • Issue creation cannot be undone: no delete scope
  • Undo obeys the same write policy as apply

Critical path and baseline

Float per issue, critical rows highlighted, slip in days

Turn on Critical path: zero-float rows are highlighted, the others greyed, a Float column appears and a banner tells you how many tasks drive the end date.

Take a baseline and a "Vs baseline" column shows the slip per issue, with a thin bar under each current bar. Kept by the app only, nothing written to Jira.

  • "Only critical rows" filter
  • Baseline per user and per view
  • Zero writes to Jira

Order and export

Reorder rows, export PNG, PDF or CSV that Excel opens

Drag a row among its siblings, or Alt + arrow. The order is part of your view and is never written to Jira.

Export takes the current view: PNG of the whole chart, paginated A3 PDF, CSV with a BOM and your locale separator, roll-up dates and slip included. Generated in your browser, nothing sent anywhere.

  • Views saved per user: sources, zoom, columns, filter, scroll
  • Light and dark theme, following Jira
  • Keyboard first: ? lists every shortcut

Built for trust

Four scopes, no delete, nothing written at install

The install prompt is the whole story. What the app cannot do is enforced by Atlassian, not by a promise.

ScopeUsed for
read:jira-workLoad issues, links, fields, projects and filters
read:jira-userCheck group membership when an admin restricts who can write
write:jira-workWrite the lines you ticked in Review and apply, as you
storage:appDrafts, views, baselines, the 30-day journal, in your site's region
No delete scopeJira itself refuses any delete call from the app
  • Nothing is written at install, first open or uninstall.
  • Every read and write goes through the permissions of the signed-in user.
  • Forge storage hosted by Atlassian in your site's data residency region. Uninstalling purges everything.
  • No server of its own, no call outside Atlassian, no analytics, no tracking. Eligible for Runs on Atlassian.
  • No field is ever created. If Start date is missing, the app explains it and an admin picks another field.
Settings page, Permissions section: four scopes, no delete scope, nothing written at install

Fast on real sites

5,135 issues and 4,000 links in under 4 seconds

Measured on the test site. The app fetches issue ids first, then fields in batches of 100. The last result is kept in the browser and shown while a fresh load runs.

The grid is virtualised and the chart is a single 2D canvas: scrolling and zooming stay smooth at that size.

FAQ

Questions people ask before installing

Does the app change anything in Jira when I install it or open it the first time?
No. Nothing is written at install, first open or uninstall. The app only reads until you press Apply and tick the lines you want written. You can verify this on the app's permissions: it has no delete scope.
I moved a bar and other bars moved too. Did that write anything?
No. Dependent issues are rescheduled in the draft only (a dashed ghost shows the original). Nothing reaches Jira until you Apply and tick the lines.
What happens if someone edits an issue in Jira while I have a draft?
When you open Apply, the app re-reads each issue. Lines whose issue changed since you loaded it are unticked and marked "changed in Jira". You decide whether to overwrite.
Can I undo an Apply?
Yes, for 30 days, from History. Undo writes the previous values back through the same diff. Issue creations cannot be undone: the app has no delete permission, by design.
Who can write to Jira?
By default, anyone who has the Jira "Edit issues" permission on the project. A Jira admin can narrow this to chosen groups or project roles. The rule is enforced on the server, not just by hiding the button.
What does the app store and where?
Everything is in Forge storage, hosted by Atlassian in your site's region. The app has no server of its own and sends nothing outside Atlassian. Users are identified by Atlassian account id only. Uninstalling the app purges all of it.
